Our Coonhound babies are raised in
our home and are well socialised by the time they leave
the nest. Contrary to what some people believe
Coonhounds are not noisy howling dogs, they have quite a
distinct bark but will usually only bark when warning of
something amiss. They do not usually drool and slobber
like some hounds and only require minimal grooming and
with correct care the ears are never a problem.
The B & T's are a laid-back type of
hound that thrives on being part of the family. They are
not a quarrelsome dog and can live quite happily
alongside other family pets including cats. They are
good with children being very gentle but playful. B &
T’s are a medium-large dog and can adapt to living
inside or outside. The average lifespan is 10 to 12
years of age.
